Terminating a nonresponsive program

We've all had the problem. That program simply has stuck in mid-flow, and clicking the 'x' in the corner does nothing at all. There is a solution to this problem, thankfully, and it's very simple.

Firstly, press Ctrl+Alt+Del. In Vista, this should open the menu, but on XP it will open Task Manager automatically. On Vista, just select 'Task Manager'. From there, look for the name of the program that is stuck (it may have the words 'not responding' next to it, so that sometimes helps) and right click on it. Select 'Go to Process'. It will highlight the process that is stuck, and then you can terminate it. Select the bottom at the bottom right, 'End Process'. A warning dialog will probably come up, just click OK. Now that nonresponsive program is gone until you run it again, and it isn't slowing down the rest of your PC.
